More and more people are asking about the cyclosportives I've been doing for the past few years, and will continue to do this year.  This section of the website may seem a little egotistical (isn't it all?) but I think it will add value, even if just one person reading this decides to take the plunge and give one a try.

Col de Agnes ~ Ariegoise

In 2004 I was the only person in the whole of the world that took part in every round of the European UCI Golden Bike Series!  How fantastic is that?  Well I enjoyed it, even if it did involve driving 12,000 miles to take part in seven events in seven different countries.  I now realise the true value of a single European currency.  And, for the first time for twenty years I've driven more miles in my car than I've ridden on my bike.

It was a fantastic experience and one I would thoroughly recommend to anyone.  From the cobblestones of the Tour of Flanders to the dizzying heights of the Quebrantahuesos, from the 6 degrees fridge that was the Black Forest to the 44 degree furnace that was the L'Ariegoise, the season had it all.  Here is where I can share with you, the routes, the experience and other information should you wish to do it yourself.

In this section of the site you will find, reviews of the events; parcours, climbing information, results, websites and anything else I can think of that may help whet your appetite to go and do one yourself.  Believe it or not there is more to cycling than ten laps of the track and riding Hougue Bie every other week.  You will not be disappointed.

Every single event is an adventure.  You can't come back without a story to tell.  Shouldn't you try at least one in your lifetime?

Hope you find it useful
